POLICIES & GUIDELINES

1. Paperwork and Vaccinations

To ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care, we require the following prior to boarding:

  • A completed intake form and signed waiver.

  • Current vaccination records for:

    • Rabies

    • Distemper/Parvo

    • Bordetella

  • Confirmation that your dog is flea- and tick-free and on regular heartworm prevention.

    • Dogs found with fleas upon arrival will be treated at the owner’s expense using a topical solution.

2. Drop-Off and Pick-Up Hours

  • Weekdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Weekends and Holidays: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Late Pick-Up Policy:

  • Pick-ups after 12:00 PM will incur a daycare fee.

  • Pick-ups after business hours will be charged for an additional night.

3. Payment and Cancellation

  • Full payment is required prior to your dog’s stay.

  • A 50% deposit is required to reserve your booking.

  • Deposits are refundable with at least 14 days’ notice or if your reserved spot can be rebooked.

4. Behavior and Temperament

  • No formal behavioral evaluation is required.

  • Dogs displaying dog-to-dog aggression are welcome; they will receive individualized playtime.

  • Dogs displaying aggression toward humans cannot be accepted for safety reasons.

5. Food and Medication

  • Please bring your dog’s regular food, preferably pre-portioned.

  • Oral and topical medications will be administered at no additional charge when accompanied by a completed Medication Form.

  • Injectable medications are not accepted.

6. Personal Belongings

  • Washable bedding and labeled toys are welcome.

  • Squeaky toys, rawhides, and items that present a choking hazard are not permitted.

7. Age and Spay/Neuter Requirements

  • Puppies must be at least 16 weeks old and fully vaccinated.

  • Spay/neuter status will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

  • Female dogs in heat cannot be accepted.

8. Photos and Media Consent

By boarding your dog at Welcome Home Dog Boarding, you grant permission for photos and videos of your dog to be used for promotional and marketing purposes.

9. Right to Refuse Service

Welcome Home Dog Boarding reserves the right to refuse or suspend service at any time, at our sole discretion, for the safety and well-being of all dogs and staff.

10. Legal and Liability

  • Owners are responsible for any damages caused by their dog while in our care.

  • Abandoned animals will be handled in accordance with Texas law.

  • Welcome Home Dog Boarding is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings.
